Touch Bionics i-Limb HandThe Touch Bionics i-LIMB Hand was developed using leading-edge mechanical engineering techniques and is manufactured using high-strength plastics. The i-LIMB Hand is controlled by a unique, highly intuitive control system that uses a traditional two-input myoelectric (muscle signal) to open and close the hand’s life-like fingers. Myoelectric controls utilize the electrical signal generated by the muscles in the remaining portion of the patient’s limb. This signal is picked up by electrodes that sit on the surface of the skin. Existing users of basic myoelectric prosthetic hands are able to quickly adapt to the system and can master the device’s new functionality within minutes. For new patients, the i-LIMB Hand offers a prosthetic solution that has never before been available.

In addition, our unique AutoGrasp feature keeps held objects from slipping by monitoring and changing grip force as needed.

Transcarpal Hand

Touch Bionics i-Limb HandThe new Transcarpal Hand is a revolutionary new product designed specifically for patients with very long residual limbs.

To create a hand as lightweight and compact as possible, we've made the motor 1/3 smaller and repositioned it to take up less room proximally. The result is a hand with the same grip force as comparable adult hands. And to save even more room we've created an innovative new connection technique that uses cable loops instead of a lamination ring. The Transcarpal Hand can be operated with either the DMC Plus or Digital Twin control units.


Arm Component: Dynamic ArmThe DynamicArm raises elbow function to the next level. It actively lifts loads weighing up to 13 lbs (6kg). It responds twice as fast as other elbows (0.5 seconds from full flexion to extension). The DynamicArm features AXON Bus technology that delivers virtually instantaneous responsiveness to the user.
