Mauch® Knee
Advanced manufacturing and materials technologies are giving the Mauch Knee a new lease of life. Within the slim new design, numerous improvements have been made. The end result is a reliable knee that offers versatile function and is particularly good on stairs. More durable than ever, the new Mauch Knee has been redesigned for optimal alignment. The user profile for the Mauch Knee includes:
- Ideal for short trans-femoral amputations because of the enhanced knee flexion lever
- Cosmetically good for long residual or knee disarticulation amputations because of the folding linkage and posterior shin set on flexion
- Great for active users because of the excellent hydraulic knee control
- Contra-indicated for people of small stature because of the knee dimensions
Mauch® Knee Plus
The Mauch Knee Plus is a heavy duty version of the new Mauch Knee, built on the same advanced technology. It was developed in order to accommodate the needs of users requiring a higher weight limit. A slightly different and more robust frame means that the Mauch Knee Plus is rated up to 166 kg.
Total Knee® 1900
Total Knee 1900 imitates true knee motion with its natural and fluid movement. An ingenious concept, it is based on a simple, polycentric design. A geometric lock makes it virtually impossible to collapse when in full extension during heel load.
Total Knee offers effortless movement, requiring less energy expenditure than many other prosthetic knees.
Total Knee® 2000
Responsive and secure - Total Knee 2000 the ideal prosthetic knee for general walking and the workplace.
Total Knee 2000 imitates true knee motion with its natural and fluid movement. An ingenious concept, it is based on a simple, polycentric design. A geometric lock makes it virtually impossible to collapse when in full extension during heel load.
Total Knee offers effortless movement, requiring less energy expenditure than many other prosthetic knees.
Total Knee® 2100
Strong and durable, Total Knee® 2100 is designed for general use by larger and more active adults Able to withstand forces generated by adults weighing up to 125kg (275lb), the aluminum frame weighs only 925g, making it one of the lightest hydraulic swing control systems available. Requiring less energy expenditure than many other prosthetic knees, TK 2100 offers effortless movement and a natural stance flexion motion. The unique geometric locking system makes it virtually impossible for the knee to collapse while in full extension during heel load.
OTTO BOCK
3R80
The 3R80’s rotary hydraulic responds to ground reaction forces during the stance phase of gait. This gives the user exceptional reliability and confidence to know that their knee will deliver stability when they need it. It utilizes a high hydraulic resistance to prevent involuntary flexion of the knee.
The 3R80’s rotary hydraulic principle is particularly advantageous on uneven surfaces, slopes and when walking down stairs. It creates a high level of stance phase control and boosts the confidence of the user.
Compact Microprocessor
The Otto Bock Compact™ microprocessor-controlled knee is designed to deliver the best in stability and reliability. It has easy-to-charge lithium ion batteries with 40-45 hours of power, and is appropriate for people who:
- Are transfemoral amputees, including those with bilateral limb deficiencies or hip disarticulation amputations
- Are involved in activities that require a high level of stance stability
- Walk or have the potential to walk on uneven terrain
- Frequently descend stairs or negotiate slopes
- Fit the activity profile for Otto Bock Mobility Grade Levels 2 and 3*
- Need the best in stance phase stability
- Would not benefit from highly variable swing phase adjustments
- Do not frequently engage in activities that would benefit from the Second Mode option *
C-Leg ®
The C-Leg gives you stability, right when you need it without the worry of stumbling or falling like most other knees.
The C-Leg allows the wearer to:
- Seamlessly speed up or slow down
- Take on hills or slopes
- Recover from stumbles
- Go down stairs step-over-step
The science behind the knee is revolutionary. It anticipates what the wearer is doing and accomodates every change, in real time... by utilizing microprocessors to control the knee's hydraulic function 50 times a second.
SYMBIOTECHS
XT-9
The XT9 Energy Storing Prosthetic Knee (ESPK) for high activity above-the-knee amputees, is the first prosthesis designed to enable AK amputees to enjoy extreme sports at and an active life at the top level. Thanks to an aerospace grade, lightweight knee frame and other space age materials and components, the XT9 prosthetic limb can withstand the forces generated in extreme sports activities by even the most active amputees.
Many sports were once impossible for Above Knee (AK) amputees because of limitations with their prosthetics. The XT9 prosthetic knee has overcome those limitations for amputees involved in extreme sports and active lifestyles. Thanks to this new prosthetic device, sports like snowboarding, kitesurfing, surfing, etc. are now possible for AK amputees around the world! The dynamic functions of the XT9 knee make it the only prosthetic limb that mimics real knee functions for all boarding activities.
